From the school's foundation in 1986 until the year 2000, brothers Gerardo and Javier Bielsa were able, through their dedication, to make the name Parapente Pirineos and Castejón de Sos known internationally.
They discovered flying areas and new techniques, and were pioneers, innovators, and role models for a large number of pilots and instructors.
It is thanks to them, Castejón de Sos is considered the Mecca of paragliding in Spain.

Origin and philosophy
Founded in 1986 by brothers Gerardo and Javier Bielsa, Escuela Parapente Pirineos has trained thousands of students, always with the same goal: to provide quality education with our own philosophy, training and managing the development of autonomous and safe pilots.

The wings of the Pyrenees
Castejón de Sos and the Benasque Valley are the perfect place for free flight enthusiasts and an unforgettable setting for those who try the adventure of a tandem flight. It is the site of the first paragliding flight in Spain and has been the venue for numerous competitions and events.

Included in the registry of active tourism companies of Aragon.
All activities include insurance and transportation.
All instructors are certified as paragliding sports technicians in Spain.
Certificates
This is the first paragliding school in Spain.
Registered as an official school by FADA (Aragonese Federation of Air Sports) and RFAE (Royal Spanish Aeronautical Federation).
Registered as an APPI *** school (Association of Paragliding Pilots and Instructors).
Flight center
Numerous take-offs, several landing areas, a training hill (ramp), harness tester, shuttle service, office and equipment shop, activity booking, a wide range of courses, and various types of tandem flights so you can choose the one that best suits your needs.

From the year 2000, Mariano Ucedo was in charge of transitioning the company to a new era by professionalizing it. These were the years in which legislation was developed and the active tourism register was established. The Aragonese Sports Tourism Association (TDA) was created, of which we are founding members. These were also the years of a new batch of instructors, trained for the first time as paragliding sports technicians.
These were years where everything evolved: materials, technology, training, instructors...
Present and future
Once again, there are new winds blowing at Parapente Pirineos. The new generation is emerging.
In 2019, David Díez and Marcelo Pairoa, who had been Parapente Pirineos employees for many years, acquired Parapente Pirineos.
Their goals: to improve and innovate both in paragliding instruction and flights with passengers, reaching new standards of safety and quality.
Above all, our main priority is the satisfaction of our students and passengers.
We are motivated to form a professional, united, and friendly team, where everyone is important and valued.
With the great responsibility of being at the forefront of the first and most renowned school in Spain, we will continue to strive for excellence and train paragliding pilots with the same passion as on day one.
